
Evergreen Park Neighborhood
Who are we?

Evergreen Park is a neighborhood development with 54 homes located in the city limits of Powder Springs, Georgia. The neighborhood is located in the southwest corner of Cobb County, Georgia very close to the line separating Cobb County and Paulding County.

The subdivision was completed aound 1999, and has an established homeowner's association. There is a common area that is lighted at night, and has been outfitted with a playground for young children, open space for recreational use by all ages, and a patio with picnic table and built-in grill. The homes are moderatley priced for the Cobb County area, and are in the district for some very good schools at all levels - Varner Elementary, Tapp Middle and McEachern High.

The neighborhood has participated in various social activies over the years, including community yard sales, "get togethers" at the common area with food and fun activities, Christmas carolling, etc. It is not unusual to see neighborhoods walking the sidewalks and stopping to chat with others who live here. It is also not unusual to see the neighborhood youth playing with each other outside on any given day in their yards, or at the playground.

The neighborhood is in a very good location in relation to the city of Atlanta. Metropolitan Atlanta area has a multitude of cultural, entertainment and outdoor activites available for all. The neighborhood is also just a 30 minute straight drive down Thorton Road/Camp Creek Parkway to the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport for those who like/need to travel somewhere by plane. There are also "Park-n-Ride" lots close by for those that want to use public transit to commute to work in some areas of Atlanta.
